Derek and I were sitting around the other day when out of the blue he says to me, "Before we have kids, we should travel to all of the continents… we can leave out Antarctica though." Ummm. What? Does he know me? Pshh. Challenge accepted!! That inspired me to do a little research… where would I go, what would I want to see and do if I could only visit one small area on each continent.
EUROPE: I have been to Italy and Spain (don't get me wrong, I would go back in a heartbeat), but I have had my mind set on Greece for sometime now. Athens to see the ruins and Mykonos to sit on the beach all afternoon.
SOUTH AMERICA: I have been to Rio de Janeiro in Brazil and obviously would love to go back with Derek, but for a new adventure, I would love to climb Machu Picchu in Peru and explore the grassy ruins.
AFRICA: Morocco has always intrigued me. The bustling markets, the bright and bold colors, and let's face it, I have never ridden camel back before! The South African town of Cape Town also sounds like an exquisite adventure!
ASIA: I have ogled over pictures of tiny huts hovering a few feet from the water… I learned that a good place to stay in one of these would be on the Maldives. I have also dreamed of seeing the vibrant colors of Bali one day! Ohhh… but I can't forget Singapore. The architecture and advancement of that country is so fascinating to me!
AUSTRALIA: Easy–Sydney. I want to see the Sydney opera house and pet a kangaroo there. I have also heard that Perth is a gorgeous town with a little more adventure.
